Own Your Shit And Trust Yourself
Hi ,

I’m Feeling Great

A lot of the world is struggling, suffering and facing challenges in many different areas of life. People are losing livelihoods for many different reasons and economies are on a roller coaster. In Australia, local communities are being hit by crazy floods.

Without wanting to sound like a (what’s a better word than wanker), much of the time I am experiencing the opposite of this. My life has become pretty much what I asked for, or well on the way to it. Now that I have it, there are definitely things to change and add…lol

But it got me questioning how I got here. How can I feel so calm, happy and sometimes even euphoric AND at the same time feel absolute horror at where humanity is headed. The answer is the last 13 years…

Own Your Shit

I attended my first “self-help” seminar in about 2009. While my life looked good on paper, I wasn’t happy. With this experience came a plethora of new information and ways of seeing the world. From that point on, I was hungry for more.

Fast forward and I have experienced multiple dark nights of the soul. Point of despair, powerlessness, worthlessness and feeling absolutely lost. What I learned is that the only way up is to turn and face the crap that you are holding onto face on. The only way up is to own your shit and face it.

The only way up is through the shadow.

I feel like I finally own most of my shit. I have worked through much of my own crap, and now have the space to feel free and good. At the same time, humanity is now working through its collective shadow and all the crap and corruption that has been suppressed for so long. It is all coming to the surface.

Trust Yourself

The biggest thing that allows me to experience calm within the chaos now, is being able to differentiate the voice of fear from the voice of love.

They both exist inside, sometimes at the same time. One is the voice of my ego, a protector and guide in my journey on earth. The other is the voice of the soul, my essence and my core.
or so many years my soul was silenced, smothered in fear. Until I owned my shit, cleared the shadow and found it again.

This week's article explores the polarity of the ego and the soul, why they are both equally important.
I've also created a video explaining why fear is a good thing. They actually go hand in hand. Fear is one of the faces of ego, and necessary to help navigate life.

Moving forward from here, we can face the fear and dissolve the shadow and find the light of the soul. Or continue the way we are.

The choice is yours...

In a battle of soul versus ego, either can come out ahead. Soul and ego exist to help us understand separation and oneness or whole simultaneously. They are equally important. They are both valuable tools to help us navigate the physical world. If we demonise the ego or disconnect from the soul, we miss out on the valuable gifts they have for us.
Why Fear Is A Good Thing
In the spiritual world, fear is often considered negative or bad. We are taught to be ashamed of fear and suppress, repress, deny, disown, and hide it. But fear is merely an internal emotion and a tool to help us navigate the world. It helps us perceive, experience and understand our external world, internally. Fear is a good thing and not to be feared.

Top 5 thoughts, tips and musings...
MIND BODY HEART | Critical thinking is one of the biggest capabilities that has been suppressed in humanity. Where is your life can you begin to get curious, question and choose to know more? Rather than accept what you are told.

SPIRITUALITY SELF + SOUL | The ego exists to help us understand separation and the physical. The soul exists to understand the energetic and ethereal. We need them both, equally.

CAREER + MONEY | Are doing work you don’t love, that does not make your heart sing? Now is the time to really consider how you want to fill your days instead, and start moving towards that…

RELATIONSHIPS + SOCIETY | Much of humanity is asleep, and it can be challenging to interact with those who cannot see the world for all it is. As challenging as it may be, remember you were once in that position too.

CREATIVITY + PRODUCTIVITY | When you sit down to creative work, consider if you are trying to force something to appear, or if you are allowing it to flow through you. The first requires effort and work, the second requires commitment to showing up.
